EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR RESEARCH PROFESSIONALS: SHAPE EVIDENCE- BASED POLICY THROUGH THE PUNJAB SOCIO-ECONOMIC REGISTRY (PSER)
The Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA), an autonomous body of the Government of the Punjab, is leading innovative social protection initiatives to improve the welfare of vulnerable populations across the province. At the core of these efforts is the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER), a one-of-a-kind flagship project funded through the Government of the Punjab's Annual Development Programme (ADP), designed to establish a comprehensive and dynamic data system for evidence-based policy and programme design.
To this effect, PSER is seeking a Research Specialist (PPS-10). The ideal candidate will be skilled in SPSS, Stata, R, or Python, with a solid command of quantitative and qualitative research methods. The role involves aligning research activities with PSER's strategic objectives, addressing challenges in survey implementation and data analysis, and contributing to the design of data-driven social protection policies. The position requires an innovative and analytical professional capable of applying modern research methodologies to real-world development challenges.
Post & Pay Package: Research Specialist (PPS-10), (Pay Package up to, Rs. 700,000)

Qualifications/Experience
Qualification:
- At least, sixteen (16) years of education from HEC recognized university in Economics, Sociology, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Training in survey methodologies or research design is an advantage
Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience in social sector research, data collection and data analysis.
- Experience in managing large-scale surveys and research projects, in Skill-economic contexts will be considered an advantage.
Skills:
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R. or Python) and data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Ability to align research activities with PSER's priorities and strategic goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in survey implementation and data analysis.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and innovate in survey and research methodologies

- This position is strictly project-based and the recruitment will be made in contractual mode. The contractual appointment will be made in accordance with the selection criteria specified in the PC-I for an initial period of one (01) year and the same is extendable subject to satisfactory performance.

- Applicants possessing relevant qualifications and experiences supported by verifiable documentary evidence shall be shortlisted and called for the interview.
- No TA/DA shall be admissible to the shortlisted candidates for interview.
- In case of selection, verification of the local degrees from HEC shall be required. However, in case of foreign degree, HEC equivalence is required before appearing in the interview.
