You will lead a team of experienced and dedicated field Account Executives largely based out of our Toronto office as well as a team of senior, remote sales executives located throughout North America. As the leader of the East, you are responsible for your team’s overall revenue number; you will coach, lead, challenge and action change as necessary to drive success.This position can also be based anywhere in the Eastern United States. We would support you working remotely and our preferred cities are: Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Boston and Toronto. You are passionate about mentoring sales leaders and teams, know the importance of building strong executive relationships both internally and externally, and thrive on creating high value, high revenue deals that close as forecasted. You understand digital transformation and know it’s the way of the future. Located on the East Coast of Canada or USA and reporting directly to the Global SVP of Sales, you will focus on accelerating revenue growth for Hootsuite’s Eastern Region.
You're Great At...
Leading and scaling successful Enterprise sales leaders and teams throughout North America
Forecasting accurate net new and upsell sales targets
Achieving/exceeding revenue and pipeline goals
Finding, qualifying, negotiating and closing big deals in larger organizations
Coordinating stakeholders across customer organizations and Hootsuite to ensure deals close as forecasted
Implementing and driving the ‘team based selling’ approach to big deals including leveraging specialized premium resources and other global stakeholders
Leading alongside key executives in the overall sales planning cycle, including annual business strategy development, enterprise product marketing, and enterprise community leaderships
Setting well-defined expectations and managing the team to success
Using metrics and analytics to guide decision making
Creating a culture of high performance and accountability while maintaining a people first focus
Coaching and developing talent
Understanding and maneuvering Hootsuite’s sales environment
Managing a pipeline of individual opportunities ranging from thousands to millions of dollars in contract value
Working with partners to deliver revenue and services
Consistently reviewing business practices for improvement opportunities
Providing industry leading representation at major events as required
Influencing direct reports, peers and senior leadership

Experience and understanding of various sales methodologies
Degree in Business or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 10 years as a Sales leader
Experience in both pre and post IPO software companies
