POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT 

VICE CHANCELLOR

The Search Committee, constituted by the Board of Governors, HITEC University Taxila, invites applications from accomplished, visionary, and highly motivated academic leaders for the challenging role of Vice Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor will serve as the principal executive and academic officer of the University. responsible for promoting excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and publications, while ensuring efficient governance and administration.

Qualification & Experience

a. PhD in any discipline from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or UNESCO listed institution,

b. Fifteen years' post PhD experience in academic or research or management position in a teaching or research institute or a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or a reputed foreign University, and

c. Fifteen research publications in the journals recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Pakistan Engineering Council

d. Should not be more than 65 years of age on closing date of submission of application 

Tenure

He shall hold office for a term of four years extendable by another tenure.

Deadline for Submission of Application

• The application complete in all respects and supported with all documents must reach HITEC University Taxila before the close of Office hours on the last date i.e. November 14, 2025.
• The application should be addressed to Registrar HITEC University Taxila (For Convener Search Committee)
• Incomplete applications will not be entertained
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview
• Shortlisted candidates shall have to appear for interview in person. Interviews will not be allowed through video links.
