POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
VICE CHANCELLOR
Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department is seeking highly accomplished, qualified and motivated professionals (national/international) for the position of Vice Chancellor in the following public sector university:
Name of the University: Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology, D.G. Khan
Essential Requirements:
The Vice Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the university; would promote teaching, research and publications; and ensure excellent administration and efficiency of the University. The applicant should:
- Not be more than sixty-five (65) years of age on the last date fixed for the submission of applications.
- Have earned a PhD degree from an HEC recognized or UNESCO listed Institution.
- Have experience in a senior academic, research or management leadership position.
- Possess a distinguished research and publications record.
- Submit NOC from the current employer before interview.

Terms of Appointment & Salary:
- The Vice Chancellor shall be appointed for a term of four years and. serve at the pleasure of the Chancellor.
- The incumbent will be entitled for a maximum of salary of a Professor on Tenure Track System as per approval of the Government.
Applications:
Interested professionals are requested to apply for the position on the prescribed pro-forma available at www.hed.punjab.gov.pk. The pro-forma should be accompanied by the following documents:
- Certified copies of CV/educational certificates/degrees/diplomas.
- Detalls of certified teaching and administrative experience in the form of Experience Corificate duly issued by the concerned Registrar Admin Office/ HR Offce. Notifications of postings shall not be accepted.
- List of HEC recognized research publications. Certified copies of first page and index of recognized journals.
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae clearly highlighting all elements of eligibility criteria & personal attributes. It should start with the site of the SSC/O Level, Grades, the name of the Institute/College and the University.
- Three recent passport size photographs.
The applications of the interested professionals on the prescribed proforma, along with the supporting documents and Resume, should be addressed to the Secretary Higher Education Department/ Secretary of the Search Committee, Higher Education Department, Old DPI Building New Anarkali, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Seven extra copies of filled-in prescribed proforma only must also accompany the main application. The application, complete in all respects and supported with all documents, must reach the Higher Education Department not later than 17TH November, 2025 before closing of the office hours. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. All the shortlisted applicants shall have to appear for interview in person. No Interview will be allowed through video links i.e. Skype/ WhatsApp etc., except for those candidates who are currently employed abroad.
