Permission for Limited Economic Activity In Sindh

| Limited Economic Activity Allowed In Sindh Province 11 May 2020 |
To save Pakistan from the global Coronavirus epidemic, the Government of Sindh has been at the forefront in implementing mutually agreed national policy and the decisions of the National Coordination Committee (NCC). The National Coordination Committee has given permission for limited economic activity all over the country from 7th May 2020. In line with this decision, the Government of Sindh has allowed the following economic and commercial activities all over the province.
Sectors that are open/ being opened subject to their strictly following the SOPs:-
(i). Activities/ businesses already permitted vide earlier orders of even number dated 14th and 23rd 2020
(ii). Construction activities
(iii). Construction related manufacturing
a) Pipe Mills (PVC and Steel)
b) Electrical Cable and switchgear manufacturing
c) Steel/ Aluminum manufacturing Including re-rolling mills
d) Ceramic manufacturing
e) Paint factories
f) Carpenter / Furniture shops
g) Real estate
h) Retail shops related to construction manufacturing
(iv). Community Markets/ Retail outlets, Stand-alone & Neighbourhood Shops situated in
residential localities (excluding shops situated in shopping Malls, Plazas)
The timings shall be from 06:00 am to 04.00 pm. Monday to Thursday.
Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays are declared as "Safe days". with 100% lockdown except the essential like persons requiring emergency medical care, personnel of law enforcement agencies, Medical and allied staff, technical staff attending electricity, gas, water, sewerage related works and Municipal staff on duty, Goods transport. charity organisations, limited Personnel engaged in ration distribution / relief work in coordination with District Administration and Law Enforcement Agencies, Postal Courier Services, Milk shops selling Dairy products, newspaper distribution. media persons, medical stores within or adjacent to hospitals. Moreover Grocery/General stores, bakeries, chicken, Meat / Fish shops, fruits/vegetable shops can remain open from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.
Sectors that would continue to remain closed:-
• All industries businesses not cleared for Opening Shopping Mall / Plazas
• Educational Institutions
• Offices not cleated for opening
• Marques. Marriage halls. Banquet hails. cinemas
• Public processions gatherings/congregations of any nature at any place
• Organized events, sports. concerts etc.
• Restaurants. Hotels, Social Clubs (Except Home delivery which is permitted and driver hotels situated on highways)
• Entertainment areas beaches, public parks.
• Public Transport (infra-city. intercity. Interprovincial)
• Barber shops) Beauty Parlour/ Hair cutting
• Game centre/ Video Games/ Dabbu/ Carrum / Pool Games Shops Gyms/Cafe/Sit-in-eatery
• Also Social Clubs and parks
Remember:
All businesses permitted to operate must strictly adhere to rules and safety measurements related to Coronavirus epidemic.
The Government of Sindh will keep motioning the epidemic and any extraordinary increase in the spread of infections beyond acceptable level will result in cancellation of this permission and the reintroduction of the complete lockdown.
In case of non adherence to Coronavirus related safety measures, legal action will be taken against the businesses and individuals responsible.
This permission for limited business activity is valid till 31st May 2020.
All citizens must also adopt safety measures against the spread of Coronavirus.
